An Edwardian period solid silver desktop thermometer with original mercury action thermometer and polished mahogany back, hallmarked Birmingham 1906. The heavy quality solid silver front with shaped edge returning around the sides to meet the polished mahogany back with sturdy easel stand. Inset bone scale to the front with engraved scale and original mercury action thermometer in full working order. Bears the makers mark for Laurence Emanuel. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 3.1" wide x 2" maximum depth when standing x 6.7" high. Stock number 43344.
