A superb mid Victorian mahogany cased 8 day single fusee English dial clock with convex dial and cast bezel by William Milburn Of Darlington. C.1870. Original convex painted dial bearing the makers name W. H. Milburn, Grange Rd, Darlington. Cast brass bezel and matching convex glass. Superb slim moulded edge dial surround and matching back box with access door to the base and side. Key release for the bezel and working lock and key to the base door. Quality shaped plates to the single fusee movement. Fully restored. Known history for this clock, until recently it was in the managers office of Barclays bank, Hawes and is known to have spent most of its life there. Measures 15" diameter x 4.5" deep. 12" dial.
