A fine quality Edwardian period solid silver double sovereign case with decorative engraving, hallmarked Birmingham 1907. The oblong case with rounded corners at either end, deep cut engraved decoration to both sides, plus hanging loop to the top. Press button release to open the spring loaded hinged lid. The lid opening to reveal a fitted interior with two sections to hold the sovereigns and half sovereigns; each with engine turned spring loaded discs to hold them in place. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Adie & Lovekin Ltd along along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 2" wide x 1.25" deep x 0.5" high. Stock number 43339.
