A superb quality Victorian solid silver Rococo design mug in mint unused condition, hallmarked Sheffield 1865. Flared rim and bellied base, the sides with embossed and chased decoration forming cartouches, which include a Roman soldiers head set to the centre. Complementing cast silver scroll design foot to the base and detailed handle to the side. Bears the makers mark for Sheffield silversmiths Martin Hall & Co along with clear hallmarks. The mug weighs over 6 troy oz and has an immaculate gilt lined interior with a deep polish to the exterior. Measures 3.25" diameter vessel x 4.5" wide including the handle x 4.75" high.
