An early Moorcroft pansy pattern vase with pale blue top, signed William Moorcroft c.1915. Bulbous form with a slightly flared rim. The sides of the vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined pansies and foliage. The background in dark fading to a pale blue at the top; the flowers painted in rich purples sat against green foliage. Signed William Moorcroft in full to the base along early Burslem factory stamp indicating a date of manufacture of 1915. Presented in immaculate perfect condition. Measures 4" diameter x 3.5" high. Stock number 43161.
