A matching pair of Victorian cast brass wheatsheaf design door stops with weighted base c.1880. The cast brass bases resembling a tied bundle of wheat with rope twist plinth below. Long handles sat above fashioned as platted strands of wheat with carrying loops to the tops. The heavy bases infilled with lead to give weight and stability for holding a door open. Superbly detailed and both presented in immaculate condition. Each measures 5.5" wide at the base x 2.5" deep x 15.5" high to top of the handle. Stock number 43021.
