Apron to the underside with the central panel forming a concealed drawer flanked by panels either side, which are decorated with acanthus leaf design carvings. The table surface sat on a turned tapering single pedestal column with acanthus leaf design mount to the base. The four branch foot with beaded edge to match the surface and aprons. Superbly carved claw feet with scroll design mounts and original concealed brass castors to the undersides. The table design, details and quality is typical of highly regarded Edinburgh cabinet maker William Trotter 1772 - 1833, and is presented in superb condition with no cracks or warping and has a rich even colour and polish. Measures 36.5" wide or 58.5" wide when fully open x 28" deep x 28.5" high. Stock number 43000.
