A Victorian brass cased marine barometer with engraved silvered dial and crescent thermometer c.1880. The original silvered dial with weather predictions and scale to the outer edge, plus blown glass mercury action crescent shaped thermometer to the lower half of the dial. The dial sat behind a glazed viewing window with central reading marker. The solid brass dished casing with brass hanging mount to the top. Fully serviced, in full working order and presented in immaculate condition. Measures 5" diameter x 2 deep x 6.25" high including hanging loop.
