A superior quality 1920's brass cased ships clock by Benson with 8 day movement and cast brass bezel. Quality brass case with cast securing plates to the rear. Hinged cast bezel to the front with securing clasp; the bezel glazed with quarter plate bevelled edge glass. Painted dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands, plus subsidiary seconds dial to the upper half of the dial. The dial marked with the makers name, Benson and Scillonian St Marys ISSC, which relates to the first pupose built passenger ship operated by the Isle of Scilly Steamship Company (ISSC) - more information on the company history is available to view on their website - click here.
