The superior quality mahogany case with moulded dial surround, matching back box behind with side and base access doors. Polished brass bezel with glazed view window forming the door over the dial. The original painted dial with the Royal insignia for George V along with serial number (matching number to the dial and movement). The original single fusee movement with chain drive and anchor escapement, stamped GR V to the movement indicating a government supplied clock.
