A large 13" diameter Moorcroft pansy pattern bowl with decoration to the inside and outside of the bowl, signed William Moorcroft c.1919. Broad base and curved sides with rolled rim to the top and small foot to the base. The interior of the bowl decorated with a large tube lined pansy set against leaves and buds. The flower painted in a deep purple with soft green leaves and yellow buds against a deep blue background. The exterior of the bowl decorated with a continuous band of tube lined pansy buds painted to match the interior, set against a blue background. Signed in full to the base with William Moorcrofts signature in green along with Moorcroft factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture of c.1915-19. Presented in immaculate perfect condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 13" diameter x 4.25" high. Stock number 42629.
