A large fine original oil on canvas by Yorkshire born artist William Mellor (1851-1931) entitled 'Bolton Abbey from the Warfe' sat in the original swept timber gilt frame. Superbly painted in typical Mellor style with bright colours, the trees reflecting in the water with Bolton Abbey in the background, sat on the hillside within trees; signed by the artist to the bottom left. Presented in superb condition with no damage or repairs. Measures overall 39" wide x 3" deep x 29.5" high. Stock number 42402.
