Description

An immaculate George III silver gilt vinaigrette, hallmarked Birmingham 1813. The solid silver casework with original gilt finish, the top with engraved flower and leaf band to the centre with chequered borders to the side. Complementing engraved panel and border to the rear, with additional fine borders to the sides of the case. Two flanges to the front edge to aid opening, the lid opens to reveal an immaculate gilded interior with hinged fretwork panel to keep the scented sponge behind. Bears the makers mark for silversmith William Lea along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Superbly detailed throughout and presented in immaculate condition. Measures 1.1" wide x 0.8" deep x 0.35" high. Stock number 41477.
