A Victorian Chester silver fire match holder with embossed decoration, hallmarked Chester 1890. Oblong slightly tapering form with classic scroll design embossed decoration to all sides. Open top for placing the matches and hanging loop for securing to a chatelaine at the top. Bears the makers mark for Chester silversmiths Cornelius Saunders & Frank Shepherd along with clear hallmarks; an unusual item presented in immaculate condition. Measures tba.  Stock number 40417
