Description

A stylish mid Victorian 8 day single fusee skeleton clock with passing strike to the hour in superb full working order c.1860. Scroll design fretted brass frame containing an engraved silvered dial with Roman numerals and blued steel hands. Five spoke wheels to the single fusee movement with an anchor escapement and original chain drive; passing strike to the hour, which means a single ring to indicate the passing of each hour. Sat on an ebonised plinth with small bun feet below and the original glass dome sat over the top. Presented in excellent condition, fully serviced and working with a perfect glass dome.
