Description

A set of Victorian solid mahogany folding library steps with original carpet covered treads c.1880. The sturdy solid mahogany frame with flat top forming a stool when folded, the four legs below sweeping outwards for stability, with cross stretchers to the underside. The fold out step section with two steps folding over to form a three tread set of steps, original carpet covered treads to the two lower steps.  A short video of the folding mechanism of the steps is available to view via our YouTube channel - click here.  Polished top step with steady pole set to the corner. Very sturdy and useable and presented in excellent condition with a rich colour and original polish.  Measures folded 29" high to top step surface plus a 36" high steady pole above the top step x 16" wide x 10" deep. Opens out to a depth of 21". Stock number 39761.
