Description

A superb quality Victorian carved golden oak banjo barometer with silvered dial and aneroid movement, fully serviced and working c.1880. The carved golden polished oak case with scrolled over pediment to the top and complementing crest to the base. Engraved silvered dial with weather predictions sat behind a bevelled edge glass, which is set in a polished brass bezel; reading marker to the centre of the glass. Matching scale to the original mercury action thermometer. Presented in immaculate condition, fully serviced and working. Measures 31" long x 10" wide x 3" maximum depth x 8" dial diameter. Stock number 42958.
