An immaculate late Victorian oak inlaid banjo barometer with aneroid movement in the Art Nouveau style c.1890. Superb fruitwood, ebony and brass inlay to the quality polished oak case. Silvered engraved dial bearing the maker's name, Pearce & Sons of Leeds, York & Leicester, with aneroid movement sat behind. Polished brass bezel surround and bevelled edge glass with centre reading marker. Matching silvered thermometer scale above with mercury action thermometer.
