An early Moorcroft Claremont pattern vase in mint condition, signed William Moorcroft c.1914. The well potted vase slightly squat in form with small flared rim to the top. Superbly decorated with a continuous band of tube lined toadstools, smaller ones to the base. The background painted in a teal blue ground, the toadstools in soft speckled yellows, purples and deep reds with excellent detail. Signed in green W Moorcroft to the base and impressed with Moorcroft Burslem factory impressions indicating a date of manufacture c.1914. Presented in immaculate condition with no damage or restoration.  Measures 4" diameter x 3.5" high.   Stock number 38907.
