A superb heavy quality George V period solid silver pix with gilded finish and engraved lid, hallmarked Birmingham 1924. Cirular form with rope twist boarder to the outer edge of both sections. The lid with engraved centre surrounded by a rope boarder to match the outer boarders. The air tight hinged lidopening to reveal a gilded interior, the base section with raised domed centre to aid removal of the communion wafers. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths and ecclesiastical silver makers Hayes & Finc Lts along with clear hallmarks to all sections.
