Description

A rare and collectable Victorian solid silver expanding toast rack weighing nearly 300g, hallmarked London 1885. The solid silver frame with arched silver hoop design supports and ring carrying handle to the centre. Concertina action base with cast silver bars and small feet below. Opens out to hold six slices of toast, the rack being adjustable to hold different sizes of toast. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith Edward Hyde. Presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine, ready for use! Measures 3" deep x 3.25" wide x 5.5" high closed, extends to 15" long when fully opened. Stock number 39431.
