A fine quality and superbly detailed early Victorian silver gilt 'castle top' vinaigrette of Windsor Castle by highly regarded and collected maker Nathaniel Mills, hallmarked Birmingham 1837. The lid with a detailed cast and engraved study of a castle giving a three dimensional appearance, the edge with swept floral boarder. Engraved stylized flower design to the side and an engine turned underside with boarder to match the top. Opens to reveal an immaculate unused interior with finely cut fretted and engraved inner hinged lid. The gilt finish unworn and immaculate to all surfaces along with clear hallmarks. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded and prolific maker of castle top vinaigrettes. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine. Measures 1.5" long x 1.25" deep x 0.25" high. Stock number 39172.
