A Victorian solid oak porcelain dial barometer made by Hicks of London c.1880. Deep chamfered case with carved decoration to the surround. Porcelain dial with coloured lettering, bearing the marker's name, J. Hicks of London (w.1861-1900), sat behind a bevelled edge glass, mounted in a polished brass bezel with a centre reading marker. Fully overhauled movement, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 11" diameter x 3" deep. Stock number 36896.
