A matching pair of fine quality Regency period solid mahogany book carriers or stands with base drawers and original patina c.1830. Each carrier with solid mahogany construction, the sides with fretted edges. Shallow stationary drawer to the base of each with original turned bone knob, surface above with slightly raised edge front and rear to hold the books in place, tray above. Turned carrying handle to the top of each; polished to all four sides to allow free standing. Beautifully made and both presented in superb original condition with a rich colour and polish.  Each measures 12.5" wide x 9.5" deep x 14" high.
