A matching pair of Victorian oils on canvas paintings by Yorkshire born artist William Mellor 'On the Nidd near Knaresborough' and 'Near Pateley Bridge', both sat in gilt frames and signed by the artist c.1900. Both superbly painted and detailed with calm flowing waters on a late summers day; the Pateley Bridge scene with bridge and houses in the background, and the Nidd scene with fishermen on the bank. Both paintings inscribed to the rear by the artist and signed to the front. Each sat in quality timber gilt frames and presented in superb undamaged clean condition. Each measures including the frame 26" wide x 18" high. Stock number CS358.
