A large early 10" Moorcroft Pansy design vase with pale green top, signed William Moorcroft c.1913. Slightly tapering form with wide neck and slightly flared rim.  The centre of the vase decorated with a continuous band of tube lined open pansy flower heads set against a background of leaves and buds. The flowers painted in deep purples and the leaves in soft greens, the design set against a background of soft greens and greys to the upper half and a deep blue wash to lower half of the vase. Signed William Moorcroft to the base along with Moorcroft factory Burslem England impressions, which indicates a date of manufacture of 1913. Presented in immaculate condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 5.5" maximum diameter x 10" high. Stock number 42354.
