A fine quality mid Victorian solid silver mug with Greek key design engraved border by highly regarded maker Barnard's, hallmarked London 1873. Flared sides with a dished base and broad stepped foot, plus cast scroll design handle set to the side. The upper half of the mug chased and engraved with a Greek key design border, plus complementing smaller boarder to the lower half and decorative engraving to the foot. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded silversmiths John, Edward & Walter Barnard along with clear hallmarks. Weighing 6.15 troy oz and presented in immaculate condition. Measures 3" diameter at the rim x 4.25" wide including the handle x 4.75" high to top of the handle. Stock number 43347.
