A fine quality Edwardian 8 day inlaid arched top mantel clock with brass mounted columns either side of the case and presented in full working order c.1900. The solid figured mahogany case with broad arched top returning halfway down the sides of the case.  The case with inset turned mahogany pillars set in gilt brass mounts to the front corners and moulded plinth to the base; complementing gilt brass bracket feet below. Fruitwood stringing to the case front with small panels of book matched inlay. The 8 day French movement with platform escapement sat behind a convex porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands. Matching convex glass set in a polished brass bezel sat over the top. Fully serviced, working and presented in superb original condition. Measures 7.5" wide x 3.25" deep x 6.5" high. Stock number 43009.
