A superb large early Victorian carved timber gilt mirror with original gilt finish and Hoho bird to the pediment c. 1850. The ornate decorative scroll design carved timber frame with Hoho bird pediment to the top and scrolled leaf design decoration to the sides and base, plus matching decoration to the mirror edge. Original quarter plate mirror glass in excellent condition; original gilt finish also in excellent condition for its age with no losses or repairs. Measures 24" wide x 1.75" deep x 47" high. Stock number 42722.
