Description

A fine quality C19th double fusee table top lantern clock signed Booth, London, fully serviced and working c.1840. Broad chapter ring with Roman numerals and engraved dial centre, decorative castings above with the original bell sat in a crown with supporting finial to the centre. Four turned columns to the corners with small feet below. Doors to the sides and the rear, the side doors engraved with decoration and 'tyme flyes night cometh' and the matching opposite side door with 'use well the present moments as they fly'. The original double fusee movement with chain dives and anchor escapement, striking on the hour.
