A superb original acrylic on board by Donald McIntyre 1923 -2009 entitled Cliffs, Solva, Wales. Depicting the cliffs at Solva in Pembrokeshire, West Wales with a choppy sea below. The cliffs catching the late afternoon sun with red tones to the stone and grassy banks to the cliff tops. The choppy sea in deep tones of blue with superb impasto bringing it to life and the tips of the rocks showing through. Chalky cliffs on the horizon sat below a heavy sky with tones of mauve. Signed by the artist lower centre and entitled to the rear with the subject on the original galleries label. Set in a quality hand finished gilt and grey wash frame behind museum glass. A superb example of the artists work with great depth and motion in the sea,  presented in superb condition ready to hang. Measures 43" wide x 32" high. Stock number 43118.
