A quality 9' 5" Persian pure wool hand knotted runner from the Heriz area of North West Persia in superb unworn condition c.1920's. The close hand knotted pure wool pile with soft reddish pink background. Four medallions to the central panel in tones of blue, with brown and navy framed with interlocking geometric decoration around the edges. Triple border to the outer edge, the inner one with champagne cream background and a broad central border with navy blue ground.
