A William & Mary period walnut chest of drawers with seaweed marquetry inlays c.1700. Quarter veneered walnut top with deep moulding. Three over two drawer formation to the front, each of the drawers with oval panels of fruitwood inlaid seaweed marquetry. Matching oval panels of marquetry to the sides. Deep moulded base rail to match the upper edge and stylish bun feet below. Brass axe drop fittings and complementing escutcheons plus original boarded back and drawer construction to the chest. Excellent rich colour and polish and condition throughout. Measures 38" wide x 22.5" ...deep x 35" high. Stock number 41053.
