Polished brass retractable main telescope with secondary 'spotter' telescope to the side. Sat on a revolving angle adjustable mount with telescopic guide rail. Original mahogany adjustable tripod and second table top cast iron and brass tripod included. Bears the makers mark ' John Browning London' on the surround of the eye piece. Full working order with lenses in excellent condition. John Browning Of London was a highly regarded in his profession and was the son of Wi...lliam Spencer Browning. John Browning was a supplier of telescopes to the Royal Observatory Greenwich along with many other prominent scientists of the time. Measures 4' long or 5' 6" fully extended. 59" high on stand.
