Victorian Smith's Terrestrial Library Globe

A superb Victorian plaster library globe sat in a mahogany stand by Smiths c.1880. The 14" plaster globe with superb detail and colour, bears the makers label for Charles Smith & Sons, London (working 1827 - 1880). Sat in a solid brass horizon ring marked in degrees allowing the globe to revolve and rotate in both directions. Sat in a polished turned mahogany four leg stand. Presented in good original condition with original patina. Measures 17" diameter x 17" high. Stock number 37406.
