An unusual Victorian solid silver glove stretcher in the form of a pair of stockings, hallmarked Birmingham 1889. The ribbed handles with rolled rolled over ends in the form of a pair of stockings or socks are sprung hinged to the centre. The rounded tips of the stretchers are placed inside the fingers of a glove for stretching. A most unusual high quality item, presented in good used condition with a deep shine. Measures 5.5" long x 2" wide at handle end x 0.5 deep. Stock number 38391.
