Victorian Mahogany Rowney of London Artist's Box

A late Victorian mahogany cased artist's box c.1890. Made by G. Rowney & Co of Rathbone Place, London. Porcelain pallet, removable watercolour paint tray with brush tray below. Original cut glass mixing bowl. Single drawer to the base, released by a brass pin to the top. Original maker's label to the back. Superb mahogany case with ebony stringing to the edges. Working lock & key. Measures 9.25" wide x 7.25" deep x 3.25" high. Stock no. 37164.
