A fine quality late Victorian double sided pocket barometer, thermometer and compass combination in the original leather case c.1900. Polished nickle plate on brass case with engine turned bezel to the front and hanging loop to the top. The face with engraved silvered scale and adjustable marker for either marking the last reading or compensating the altitude. The rear with silvered scale for the mercury action crescent thermometer; mother of pearl compass set to the centre with travelling lock. Sat in the original dark red leather covered traveling case with hinged covers to both sides allowi...ng the instrument to be used whilst in the case. Presented in immaculate unused condition with a deep shine, the case in excellent condition. Full working order. Measures excluding case 2" diameter 0.75" deep. Stock number 38579.
