A superior quality Victorian carved oak cased banjo barometer with decorative porcelain dial, fully overhauled and working c.1890. The elegant solid oak case with crisp carved decoration to the pediment and base, turned surround to the barometer dial. Aneroid movement set behind a decorative porcelain dial, bevelled edge glass sat over the top set in a polished brass bezel with central reading marker. Original mercury action thermometer with matching porcelain scale sat above. Fully overhaul and working, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine.
