Victorian Burr Walnut Tantalus Box
A fine quality mid Victorian burr walnut decanter box with original cut crystal pouring decanters C.1870. Ebony edged burr walnut veneered exterior with polished oval lock escutcheon. Hinged lid with recessed polished brass campaign style carry handle, opening to reveal a an original dark blue velvet lined interior with division to the centre to hold the two original cut crystal decanters with pouring necks and original matching stoppers in superb condition. Excellent patina and colour. Working lock and key. Measures 8" wide x 4.75" deep x 9" high. Stock Number 34577.
