Victorian Burr Walnut Ladies Casket
A fine quality mid Victorian burr walnut dome top ladies box with brass trimmed exterior and original fitted interior c.1875. The burr walnut exterior with choice choice veneers and chamfered edge brass rim to the front, lid and rear secured by dome head pins. The locking hinged top lid opening to reveal an original blue silk lined interior with sections to hold paper and envelopes, a scent bottle and a small secret pull out compartment to hid valuable items. Superb quality and condition with a deep shine and original patina. Measures 9" wide x 4.5" deep x 6" high. Stock number 38084.
