Victorian Burr Walnut Brass Bound Stationery Box
A mid Victorian burr walnut dome top stationery or letters box with brass bound exterior and original fitted interior c.1875. Choice cut burr veneers to the exterior with decorative engraved brass mounts to the front, lid and sides. The hinged lid opening to reveal an original fitted interior with mahogany divisions for holding the letters, paper and envelopes in position. London retailers label to the rear edge. Superb quality and presented in excellent original condition with a deep shine. Measures 7" wide x 4" deep x 5.5" high. Stock number 39661.
