A late Victorian brass cased bulkhead marine barometer by John Barker & Co of Kensington, London; fully serviced and working c.1890. The polished brass case with cast bezel to the front and glazed viewing window with central reading marker. The porcelain dial with weather predictions and makers name, sat over the aneroid movement. All sat on the original turned polished mahogany plinth with two hanging mounts to the rear. Bears the makers name John Barker & Sons, Kensington, specialist barometer and marine instrument maker.
