An unusual and superbly detailed silver card case in the form of a sedan chair, hallmarked London 1899. Embossed decoration to all four sides with scroll design border and cross hatched centres; mock window to the front. Small view windows either side showing the cards inside, bars sat either side with scroll ends forming the carrying handles and domed lid to the top with snap closing catch. The hinged lid opening to reveal a gilded interior with two sections to the base for holding the cards. Bears the makers mark for London silversmith Samuel Jackson along with clear hallma...rks to all sections. Superbly detailed and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 3.25" wide x 1.75" deep x 3.5" high. Stock number 41715.
