An unusual Victorian solid silver table box in the form of an iron, hallmarked London 1901. The polished base with hinged opening top and shaped frame holding the turned bone handle. Small decorative snap catch to the point of the iron to aid opening, opens to reveal an immaculate gilt lined interior. Bears the makers mark for Samuel Jacobs, heavy quality and presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. Measures 4.25" long x 2.5" wide x 4.25" high. Stock number 36767.
