A superb quality William IV period carved mahogany framed library chair with old brown hide upholstery C.1830. Moulded and well shaped frame with decorative carved relief. Sat on stylized acanthus leaf design legs sat on original brass castors; decorative columns to the front of the arms. Upholstered to a high standard in old brown hide with loose seat cushion and decorative brass stud work edges. Excellent condition with a deep shine and original patina, no breaks or repairs. Measures 44.5" to top of the back x 26" wide x 29" deep x 16.5" seat height. Stock number 34990.
