A superb quality Victorian carved oak aneroid banjo barometer with skeletonised movement and porcelain dial c.1885. The slender sharply carved solid English oak case with turned centre. Skeletonised visible aneroid movement surrounded by a porcelain dial sat behind a bevelled edge glass mounted in a polished brass bezel with centre reading marker. Matching decorative scale to the original mercury action thermometer in glazed box set above the barometer scale.
