A superb large Victorian brass cased marine barometer with twin crescent thermometers c.1885. The heavy quality dished brass case with hanging loop to the top and matching bezel. Skeletonised visible aneroid movement surrounded by a fine quality engraved silvered dial, twin crescent thermometers set to the bottom half; the left hand alcohol thermometer reading the Reaumur scale and the right hand mercury action one reading Fahrenheit. Set behind a quarter plate bevelled edge glass with central reading marker. Fully overhauled and working, presented in immaculate condition with a deep shine. ...Measures 8.25" diameter x 2" deep.
