Superb James II Oak Dresser
A superb and original James II period oak geometric moulded single drawer dresser with original patina and fittings c.1680. Planked and pegged top with deep moulding below, unusual single long drawer with geometric moulding and applied turned decoration. The drawer with planked base and rebated runners to the sides typical of early pieces, original hand forged iron axe drop handles. Moulded apron below the drawer and panelled sides. Sat on turned legs supported by a H base stretcher, small bun feet below. Presented in original condition with a rich dark original patina. Measures 48" wide x 18..." deep x 35.5" high.
