A superb George III period figured oak cased 8 day longcase clock with engraved brass and silvered dial by Fisher of Preston C.1770. Slim proportioned case with reeded quarter columns to the trunk and shaped top door with mahogany cross banding. Moulded cornice to the hood with matching cross banding. 8 day movement with anchor escapement and bell striking on the hour; superb engraved brass dial with silvered chapter ring and subsidiary seconds dial. Bears the makers name, Fisher, Preston. Original colour and patina, sat on original bracket feet. Fully restored, 12 months guarantee. Measures 8...0" high x 17.5" wide at the cornice x maximum depth 10". Stock number 34130.
